Dorolyn Academy of Music

Dr. Dorothy L. Story - Bounds....a dynamic and spirited African-American woman is a leader for this generation.  She is a composer, author, educator, producer, choral conductor, Minister of music, and vocal coach par excellence, with an excess of 50 years of experience in music education.  Bounds has earned degrees and outstanding honors from McKinley Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.

 Dr. Bounds and husband,  Robert:  Married for 48 years, still enjoy a vibrant relationship, and share many commonalities, such as, their love of God, their Church home, family, friends, traveling, dining out, dating, and of course their son, Earl.

 Dr. Bounds and Pastor DeAndre Patterson as he hosts her birthday celebration:

 Dr.  Bounds and Pastor Smokie Norful who was gracious enough to "fly into Chicago from another State" to render a few selections of encouragement and say "best wishes for a wonderful birthday".

Dr. Bounds'  designation as an International  Certified Protection Officer.    She currently serves with the Security Ministry at her Church.  She is also using her training to teach others how to provide security in a Church Ministry setting.
